Xander and Sarah’s marriage is starting to get on shaky ground on Days of Our Lives. She withheld the information about Philip’s forged letter from Victor, claiming him as the elder’s heir. However, a court believed the letter and decided that Phil and Xander had to be co-CEOs of Titan. That worked out well for a time, until Vivian told Xander about the forgery. He didn’t do much, but when he thought Phil had further betrayed him, he beat his brother within an inch of his life. Before Xander left, Phil managed to utter, “Sarah…knew,” which got the wheels in Xander’s head moving. Linsey Godfrey revealed her thoughts on what’s next for the formerly happy couple.
Things Got Loud
Godfrey explained to Soap Opera Digest that seeing Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) all beat up, clinging to life, will create some “highly emotional scenes.” Sarah’s going to have to confront Xander (Paul Telfer) about it and will not let him intimidate her at all. “She’ll put Xander in his place for the first time,” she remarked.

Things will get so heated on the show that in the upcoming scenes where Xander and Sarah have it out, a boom operator was told to pull his microphones up higher because “They’re going to get loud.” She stated that she and Telfer were encouraged to go all out with the confrontation, noting that all of the yelling was “Very interesting and weirdly kind of cathartic as well.”

She Did It for the Right Reasons
Sarah kept the secret of Philip’s forgery for all the right reasons. Although she abhors lying, she felt it was necessary in this situation because she knew Victor (the late John Aniston) would want his boys working together. “But this is one of those ‘you do something wrong for the right reasons’ things,” she explained.

On the show, Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens) have remained together despite their ups and downs, and Godfrey would like for Sarah and Xander to emulate that dynamic. “Paul and I both would love for them to just stay together and be happy,” she stated.
