On the June 29 episode of Days of our Lives, EJ admitted to Johnny that some DiMera pharmaceuticals laced with arsenic were dumped on Smith Island. Holly must have come into contact with them, and that’s what made her sick. But Holly wasn’t the only person there. Is Salem about to lose every member of their teen scene?
Key Takeaways:
- Tainted pills have already killed two people
- Holly isn’t getting better
- Will Tate, Ari, and Aaron be next?
Death Penalty
Sarah (Linsey Godfrey, who recently shared the meaning behind her most personal ink) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) are on the hunt for what killed Destiny and her sister. All they know so far is that both may have taken Coriseal, which they assume had been laced with something deadly. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) confessed to Johnny (Carson Boatman) that DiMera accidentally manufactured a bad batch, which was then dumped on Smith Island, the site of The Horton Cabin. That’s why Holly (Ashley Puzemis) is in the hospital now, swearing she didn’t take any unprescribed medication.
From Bad to Worse
Sarah still doesn’t even know what Holly ingested, so it’s hard for her to come up with a cure. But we are also concerned about Holly’s friends. Holly wasn’t the only person on Smith Island. Tate (Leo Howard), Ari (Vico Escorcia), and Aaron (Louis Tomeo) were all there with her. So why is Holly the only one sick? We didn’t see her eat or drink anything that the others didn’t — unless the show is suggesting that when everyone else had alcohol, Holly stuck to water due to also taking antidepressants. Except that would mean the others drank absolutely no water at all. They didn’t make ice cubes. They didn’t wash any fruit. They didn’t brush their teeth…
Next Up
Since that seems impossible, we have to assume that the other three ingested less arsenic than Holly did. Which means they’ll get sicker slower, but sick they, nonetheless, will! Salem only has four teenagers. They can’t lose them all in one swoop.
