On the June 30 episode of Days of our Lives, Chad didn’t just demonstrate why his parental skills are lacking when it comes to Thomas and Charlotte. He also made it clear how he creates all of his own problems.
Key Takeaways
- Chad rewarded Thomas and Charlotte for their bad behavior.
- Chad lets his kids do whatever they want.
- Chad wonders why his kids then emotionally manipulate him.
Slip and Slide
Chad (Conner Floyd) told Thomas (Alexander Elijah Bond) and Charlotte (Autumn Gendron) not to open their containers of slime while they were at the Brady Pub. Thomas and Charlotte paid Chad no mind at all and went ahead and did whatever they wanted. Then, on top of it, the pair went charging and yelling through Roman’s (Josh Taylor) place of business. Slime spilled. Leo (Greg Rikaart) slipped on it and ended up with a concussion. He had to go to the hospital.
The Little Rascals
Did Chad reprimand his children? He thought he did. But he agreed that it was an accident. Sure. The slime opened and spilled itself. Total accident. And to demonstrate what adorable little scamps they were, Chad bought them both milkshakes. Wow. Dude really laid down the law! Thomas and Charlotte will know never to do that again!
Actions Have Consequences
Remember last year, when Thomas (then-Cary Christopher) basically blackmailed his dad into breaking up with Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) by threatening to run away and live with Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford) if Chad didn’t do exactly what his kid demanded? Chad just could not, for the life of him, figure out what he’d done to give his kids the idea they could get away with anything. How could they think they could — and should — get whatever they wanted just because they wanted it? We think we know the answer to that.
