It was the moment “Cin” fans had been waiting for on Days of our Lives. Ben finally proposed to Ciara in a romantic moment in the park where he recreated their first date.
Now Ciara (Victoria Konefal) is eagerly planning their big day. But the reality is, for the sake of the soap, the wedding can’t happen.
Days of our Lives: Young Love
Think about young heroines on Days of our Lives and only one comes to mind: Ciara. She is the show’s future; a fun, bold, and daring spitfire who’s a perfect blend of her mother, Hope (Kristian Alfonso), and late father, Bo (Peter Reckell). Heck, she even drives a motorcycle.
Keeping Ciara single and carefree is absolutely critical. She needs to be driving the drama in Salem. Tying her down by marrying her off to Ben would derail all that. DAYS would be wise to take a page from yesteryear’s soaps and have “Cin” face a couple more years of obstacles before they even thinking about giving them a happy ending.
Time for Tripp
Tripp (Lucas Adams) left Salem and Ciara behind to attend medical school out of state. Now that his dad, Steve (Stephen Nichols), has returned alive and well, it’s the perfect time for Tripp to make a comeback, too. Tripp and Ciara dated for a while. In fact, if it wasn’t for Ben, they’d probably still be together. Tripp’s never been a big fan of Ben. His reintroduction into the picture could stir things up, which would boost the drama for DAYS’ top heroine.
Then There’s Theo
Isn’t it time for Theo (Kyler Pettis) to come back to Salem, too? Surely, he’s completed his physical therapy by now. Theo and Ciara are close childhood friends, who’ve always shared a special bond.
If he suddenly turned up in town, Ciara’s interests would suddenly be divided between two men: her bestie, Theo, and had beau, Ben. It could cause some tension between Ben and Ciara, and, perhaps, even evoke Ben’s jealous streak. The plot turn would put Ciara at the center of an unconventional triangle, which is exactly where she belongs.
