The Days of our Lives recap for Wednesday, September 23, 2020, features Eric fixing his family before taking off for the Congo, Sami making Allie an offer, and Bonnie celebrating a little too hard.
Eric (Greg Vaughan) wanted to spend his last hours in Salem alone with Nicole (Adrienne Zucker) but that did not work out. They had family business to take care of instead. Nicole told Eric all about Allie’s (Lindsay Arnold) visit and request. Can she really handle both kids on her own? Eric didn’t see why not; Nicole was a great mom.
Their biggest obstacle would be Sami (Alison Sweeney). Was Nicole ready to take her on again? They got the chance when they said her name too many times and she came pounding down the door. Eric first slammed the door in her face but eventually let his twin in and they came to a compromise.
Once alone, Eric and Nicole shared a tearful farewell. He promised this was not forever. She promised to love him while he is gone. Instead of saying goodbye, they said see ya later.
Meanwhile, Allie was back at the DiMera mansion with Kate (Lauren Koslow) pushing her to bond with baby. Allie held her son for the first time since running out on him and admitted she was scared to be a mom. Who wouldn’t be after suffering growing up with Sami?
They got a big surprise when Sami got back to the mansion. She shocked them by telling Allie she was not taking her or the baby to Italy. Allie’s son could live with Nicole, but only if Allie moved back into the apartment too.
Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) were all about forgiving but not forgetting. They wanted their marriage to work, even if they were on opposite sides of the Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) drama. Unfortunately, what happened next could shatter them.
The DA not only threw out any possible plea deal with Brady (Eric Martsolf) but his confession as well. Why? Well, because Melinda wanted Kristen to pay, of course. She’s the new DA and smelled Brady’s cover up a mile away. Buckle up, Kristen. This is going to be one wild ride.
Justin (Wally Kurth) spent his afternoon bonding with Bonnie (Judi Evans). They talked her contract, settlement hearing, her cowboy hat gift, and even shared a kiss. Yes, a kiss. Bonnie planted one on the legal eagle when her publishing company gave in to their demands. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
