Days of our Lives Poll Results: Should Gwen Stick Around Salem?

Days of our Lives has a history of long-running characters being introduced via incarceration. Only a few months ago, Doug (Bill Hayes) was recalling those halcyon days when he was in prison with Bill Horton. It’s how they met, and why Doug came to Salem – to see how much money he could wring out of the wealthy Hortons. He ended up with a wife, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), a daughter, Hope (Kristian Alfonso), grandchildren… and nobody recalling his checkered past.

Fast forward to 2020 (or is it 2021 in Salem?), and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) had a bestie in the looney bin named Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Gwen claims she was just faking being crazy, so she was able to check out whenever she wanted. She looked up her pal, Claire as soon as she did. So will she decide to stick around? What almost 5,000 voters want to see happen:

Get Lost

Nope, we’re not feeling it, 59% of the audience reports. Claire is crazy. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) is crazy. Abigail (Kate Mansi) is crazy. And Gabi (Camila Banus)… isn’t the sanest. We’re all filled up on our nuts quota, so Gwen should just keep on walking – we can’t take care of our own.

Baddie Shortage

On the other hand, 21% of you think Salem is running a little low on bad guys, and Gwen might fit the bill nicely. We know nothing about her, which means she is capable of anything. Unlike everybody else, we have no idea what she might do next… or why.

Clean Up, Gwen

A slightly smaller 20% will accept Gwen… but only if she doesn’t go bad. In fact, you want her to clean up her act, straighten up, and fly right. In other words, you want another bland, boring heroine in Salem.
