The week of January 10, 2022

After a long absence, Patrika Darbo is back as Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) fiery mother, Nancy Wesley. Look for the character, last seen in 2016, to arrive in Salem on Friday, January 14, with some surprising news.

Although not under contract with the soap, Darbo will be front and center in a major storyline. During her absence from DAYS, the actress appeared as Shirley Spectra on The Bold and the Beautiful (2017-2018) and The Young and the Restless (2021).

Ellen Crawford, remembered as Nurse Lydia Wright on ER, turns up as Mother Superior on Thursday, January 13. She’ll share scenes with Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans, during Steve Johnson and Kayla Brady’s search for the escaped convict, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Bryan R. Dattilo, who left town as Lucas Horton last week, pops back in this week. The character returns from Europe to testify at EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) trial. He’ll air on Friday, January 14.
