The week of October 16, 2023

A pair of Salem prisoners — one, beloved; one, loathed — are set to resurface. Bryan Dattilo is back as Lucas Horton on Tuesday, October 17. The character last aired back in February.

Also, on the Statesville scene this week is James Read (Clyde Weston). The character, who was sent to the slammer for murdering Abigail Deveraux DiMera in September 2022, begins causing trouble on Monday, October 16.

John Kapelos is back as Konstantin on Friday, October 20. He’ll share scenes with Linsey Godfrey’s Sarah Horton and Suzanne Rogers’ Maggie Kiriakis.   

James Simenc pops up as a hospital patient on Monday, October 16. He’ll share scenes with Lucas Adams’s Tripp Johnson.

On the exit front, Aketra Sevillian makes her final appearance as Talia Hunter on Tuesday, October 17. The troubled character is moving back to California. 

Brandon Beemer is out as Shawn Brady. The character opted to leave Salem to address his drinking problem. 

In a surprise recast move, Jen Lilley exited the soap as Theresa Donovan. Taking over the pivotal role is Emily O’Brien, who was last seen as Gwen Rizczech. 

Lastly, Louise Sorel’s brief return as Vivian Alamain has wrapped. Once again the character is on the lam; this time for shooting Peter Porte’s Dimitri Von Leuschner.
