Does Grayson Need to Watch His Back?
This week hasn’t been good for Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso). Jacob (Jibre Hordges) knows that he’s part of the plasma ring. For some reason, he’s letting the lab tech believe he’s a dirty cop rather than an undercover cop infiltrating this plasma ring. Grayson has his suspicions, however.
But ever since Jacob discovered he was one of the plasma ring’s inside men at Garland Memorial, he has been in freak-out mode. And it’s not going to get better for him on Friday. According to the weekly spoilers, Grayson receives a threat. Who’s doing the threatening here? And how worried should he be?
Ashley’s Love Life Up for Debate
Meanwhile, Derek (Ben Gavin) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) have a candid conversation about Ashley’s love life. Derek claims he realizes that he and Ashley (Jen Jacob) are simply friends. But he has a bad feeling about Grayson and doesn’t trust the guy.
That doesn’t mean Derek should be having a full on conversastion with Ashley’s bestie about the state of his ex’s love life. What do the two hope to accomplish with their chat?
Martin Spends Quality Time with Vernon
Now that Martin (Brandon Claybon) is back from his work trip, he finds the time to go see his grandad. When Martin confides in Vernon (Clifton Davis), this may mean he opens up about the current state of his marriage. Thanks to their respective jobs, he and Smitty (Mike Manning) are out of sync.
Smitty is acting distracted at home, and he’s always checking his phone or running off to go meet a source. Vernon will undoubtedly provide the perfect advice for the situation.
He may want to tell Martin that Smitty is the one who usually has to deal with a husband who isn’t always present at home because of work. And that maybe he needs to give Smitty grace and space and simply support him during this time.
Backstory and Exchanging Updates
The teasers suggest that Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Donnell (Alex Cheeks) are about to compare notes. What about? The current drama in their lives? Meanwhile, look for Joey (Jon Lindstrom) to open up to Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) about his family.
This means we could get more of his backstory. His past remains a bit of a mystery. At some point, we’d love to find out about how Joey Armstrong became Joey Armstrong. Opening up to Vanessa like this may make her feel better after Thursday’s public humiliation at the hands of her daughter.
