Top Five Worst (But Great) Game of Thrones Characters

 Comments

Game of Thrones has a way of making us enjoy even the most horrific of characters. Though there are some out there who everyone loves, like Jon Snow or Arya Stark, there are many who are straight up evil.

Here’s a list of the top five worst Game of Thrones characters we can’t help but be entertained by, even though they may have killed innocent people or terrorized a whole city.

5. Melisandre (Carice van Houten)
Melisandre worked for the Lord of Light and while she wasn’t necessarily the worst character on Game of Thrones, she did insist innocent little Shireen be burned as a sacrifice, so there’s that. In the early years, it was hard to figure out if she was evil or just misguided, but she ended up being a huge help during the Battle of Winterfell.

4. Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish (Aidan Gillen)
Littlefinger was the most conniving man in all of Westeros. Not only did he play a role in the deaths of Jon Arryn, Ned Stark, Ros, and Joffrey Baratheon, but he also used his mind to outwit everyone with whom he came in contact. Though he did some good things every now and then — like kill Lysa Arryn — what he did was to his own benefit.

3. Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey)
Cersei has been through a lot, we’ll give her that. She has lost her husband, all three of her children, she’s in a relationship with her twin brother, Jaime, but she tried to have her other brother, Tyrion, killed! But she also wiped out most of her local enemies by blowing up the Sept. She’s incredibly interesting and complex, but oh-so-deadly.

2. Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson)
Along with being a spoiled and entitled little boy, Joffrey was a straight up psychopath with absolute power. He terrorized and humiliated everyone around him and his own mother couldn’t control him. Even his powerful grandfather could barely get him to do what needed to be done. His death was an incredible victory for fans — and Westeros.

1. Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon)
What an evil little man. Ramsay not only tortured Theon Greyjoy — and Sansa Stark — for many seasons, he inadvertently tortured the viewers too! Because his mind was so sick and twisted, he actually became one of the best evil villains in GOT history. All of that made his eventual death all the more satisfying.
