Y&R star Hunter King showcased a macabre new film project she’s working on. The Summer Newman actress juxtaposed some surprising images along with a holly jolly Christmas song that set just the right creepy mood for her work.
The actress is set to appear in a Top Dead Center Films Untitled Thriller as a character named Jael Jones, and she’s apparently filming right now. King took to Instagram and shared a seemingly light-hearted video of photos from her work on the movie that quickly turned rather dark.
“Just your typical week on the set of a horror movie,” she titled the fun clip, which she set to Frank Sinatra’s iconic Christmas song, Let It Snow. The video starts with King in a dark puffy jacket and stocking cap spinning around in a winter wonderland of snow. Then she shows various clips of herself in an icy landscape. At one instance, she leans over a bicycle and throws up, and from there, things get a bit less cheery.
Several frames reveal King wearing bloody makeup and bloody clothes. In some of the video, she’s getting it applied or taking it off. You can check out the whole thing below.
Hunter King shared the video of her current work shortly after news that Y&R put out a casting call for Summer. It’s possible that the specific call for the character’s name is a tactic in trying to get King to agree to a new deal with the network since many casting calls aren’t quite so detailed. King has portrayed the Newman granddaughter off and on since 2012, and she appears this week when Summer video chats with her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
