The Y&R spoilers recap for Friday, January 28, 2022, rounds out the week with Victoria Newman getting a win – even as her husband questions her tactics, Billy Abbott warning Adam Newman about his sister, Mariah Copeland and Tessa Porter making it clear they are not prepared to be parents, and Jack Abbott urging Phyllis Summers to flee the country.
The Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Just as Billy (Jason Thompson) was telling Adam (Mark Grossman) that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was out to get him, Victoria was finalizing her deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to take over Newman Media. Victor will only let her have it if she agrees to keep Adam on – and permit Victor to stay in an advisory role.
Done, Victoria says. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) isn’t pleased to hear that she did so without asking his input. He would have wanted some stipulations to keep Adam in line. The pair get snippy…just as Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) walks in. Victoria says everything is fine. She can handle Adam (and, it’s implied, Ashland, too). Victoria heads over to her little brother’s office to let him know her being his boss is now a done deal.
Young and the Restless: Pick of the Litter
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) wonder if they should adopt a baby or an older child. Either way, they agree their new boy or girl will bring them nothing but non-stop joy. That…is not how parenthood tends to go. Later, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) apologized to Tessa about being weird regarding her engagement to his sister. They’re good, right?
Y&R Spoilers Recap: See You Later
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tells Jack (Peter Bergman) about her great job offer in Italy, and Jack urges her to take it. He’d also like Phyllis to have dinner with him before she goes. Nah, she ain’t got time for that. Jack is hurt but remains polite. Phyllis tells Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) she was hoping he’d stop her. In that case, maybe you should have, you know, not been so dismissive.
