As a way to circumvent Victoria Newman Locke taking over his brilliant, devious, and not at all confusing plan on The Young and the Restless, Billy Abbott did an end-run around his ex and confessed all to his sworn enemy.

A Young and the Restless Confession

Billy (Jason Thompson) explained that he had been cleverly fooling Adam (Mark Grossman), but before Adam had a chance to fall into Billy’s flawless trap, Billy was telling him all about it, so now Adam can’t do it. Billy is the better man! All bow down before his moral superiority! Did he make the right move? What over 2,000 think of the sudden confession:

Is This the End?

Billy has been obsessed with Adam ever since Delia’s death, 76% of you remind, and while it’s understandable, it’s definitely hurting him more than Adam at this point. Adam didn’t even notice Billy’s latest salvo, and he certainly wasn’t about to fall for it. Billy coming clean saved them both a whole lot of trouble.

Empty Young and the Restless Future

A much smaller 15% wonder what Billy is going to do now. Bringing down Adam was pretty much Billy’s only reason for living. Yeah, he’s living with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and he supposedly cares about his kids. But, really, bringing down the Newmans – and showing Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that he could succeed where she failed – has been his driving force ever since he and Victoria split up. A Billy at loose ends is a Billy nobody wants to hang with.

What Was He Thinking

We’re not saying we understood what Billy’s plan was supposed to achieve, 9% confess, but, we have to admit, we really, really don’t understand what he thinks he’s going to get out of telling Adam what he was planning to do. The development came out of left field. That’s not a shocking twist. That’s… a guy who’s about to start chewing gum again. And we all know what that means.
