The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, January 10, 2022, celebrates Christian Le Blanc’s 30 years in the role of Michael Baldwin with flashbacks and family galore! Michael wonders whether he should stick with his job – or whether to retire.

The Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Michael is high off of winning a big case – off-screen, like when he prosecuted Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) grandfather – and wonders to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) whether now would be a good time to go out on top.

He consults with Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell), who previously left the same job he is now considering leaving. They reminisce about the good times…like, remember when Michael stalked Christine and even broke through a wall between their offices. He went to jail, but then he got out and Christine gave him a second chance, both professionally and personally and…what does this have to do with whether or not Michael should retire? Christine has to go now, bye!

Young and the Restless: Voice Of God

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) added his two cents, telling Michael that he should retire from the DA’s office…and come work for Victor. Remember when Michael worked for Victor before? It was much easier for Victor to tell him what to do when Michael was an employee of his than when he had to pretend to believe in the legal system of the DA’s office.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: Family Business

Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman) tells Michael she is too old to be the mother of a retired man. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) tells Michael he’ll be bored doing nothing. Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) tells Michael that, if he’s thinking about retiring, he should do it. Then they all have to go now. Bye!

Y&R: Love in the Afternoon

And then Michael and Lauren remember their own relationship, first kiss, wedding, baby…because this is somehow relevant to the situation. Michael decides to retire. Happy anniversary, Christian Le Blanc!
