The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 2, 2022, brought a brand new family for Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor, Chance Chancellor, and Devon Hamilton. Plus, Tessa Porter spilled the beans about Noah Newman to Mariah Copeland, and Phyllis Summers desperately wanted somebody, anybody, to tell her not to go to Milan.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) nearly called the whole thing off. However, Chance (Conner Floyd) talked his wife down. Eventually, Devon (Bryton James), Amanda (Mishael Morgan), and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) gathered at the Chancellor mansion to sign all the paperwork. Now, Dominic’s new name and extra family are all official.
Too bad Abby isn’t at all happy with the new situation. Of course, Chance seemed relieved beyond belief, and he vowed to make every overnight stay for Dominic an excellent adventure for him and Abby. After all, they have all the time he was away to make up for. Abby wasn’t happy, though, and she called her mom.
While Abby felt miserable after doing the hardest thing she’s ever done, Devon was on cloud nine. First, his sister, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), took time out of her busy CEO day and showed up with some room ideas for Dominic’s new bedroom at the penthouse.
Then, Amanda, the best lawyer in town, got home after filing the paperwork to make the whole thing officially official. Finally, Uncle Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) showed up with not one but two entire bottles of champagne to toast to the new daddy. One was for Devon to save for when Dominic grows up. Cheers to the new daddy.
At Crimson Lights, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) told Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that her brother Noah (Rory Gibson) basically confessed his love. An adult, Mariah handled the whole thing with grace. In fact, she feels a bit sorry for Noah.
However, when Noah showed up, he felt a strange vibe. When he got Tessa alone, he wondered just exactly why she said anything. Tessa declared she wanted to be open and honest with the love of her life, but Noah seemed unconvinced. Later, he lied to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about having a friend in town and split.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) continued to pout because nobody tried to make her stay in Genoa City. Nick wished her well on her trip, and Phyllis got all huffy. But, of course, the person she really wanted to make her stay also encouraged her to go — Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Phyllis even imagined herself running to Jack and begging him to beg her to stay by telling her he loved her. Too bad she can’t just be an adult about it and say what she really wants.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest that’s been posted on Y&R spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
