The Young and the Restless C&G News

Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of January 23, 2023

An episode devoted to Tracey Bregman’s 40-year run as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin – the character is receiving a Lifetime Achievement  Award for her work in the fashion industry – is bringing a few familiar faces back to the soap.

Judith Chapman pops in as Gloria Bardwell, Lauren’s mother-in-law. She’ll air on Wednesday, January 25.

Zach Tinker returns as Fenmore Baldwin, too. Look for Lauren and Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) son to appear on Wednesday, January 25.

Julian Larach portrays Trey on Wednesday, January 25. He’s an employee at Fenmore’s.

Meanwhile, Vail Bloom is heading back to the show as Heather Stevens, Paul Williams’s (Doug Davidson) daughter. Bloom played the character from 2007 to 2010. Heather was last seen in 2012 at which point she was portrayed by Jennifer Landon (ex-Gwen, As the World Turns).

Lily Brooks O’Briant has been cast as Lucy Romalotti, Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) daughter. She’ll be arriving in Genoa City with Heather.

The Young and the Restless History

Y&R made its debut in 1973 and introduced more sexual undertones and younger characters to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, four decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in.

From Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) family machinations to Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) heart to the complicated love story of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Y&R knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more.
