Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless? Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from your favorite daytime dramas.

General Hospital

Two major players have exited General Hospital, as their characters plunged into the Seine River. Avery Kristen Pohl has officially wrapped up her run as the evil Esme Price. The actress made her debut on the soap in 2021.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Alexander Chavez is out as Spencer Cassadine, albeit temporarily. Chavez is taking a hiatus from GH to film his role as Lyle Menendez in the Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. He’s slated to return to the soap once the project wraps.

Joshua Benard has also finished his run as troubled college student Adam Wright. Benard, the real-life son of Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny, began the recurring role in 2021. The door, however, remains open for his possible return at a later date.

William Lipton makes a brief return as Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) son, Cameron Webber, this week. Cameron, who was written off to attend Stanford University in 2023, is back in town to attend Spencer’s funeral.

The Friday, February 2, 2024 episode of GH saw the return of Jagger Cates to Port Charles. The character, created by Antonio Sabato, Jr., back in 1992 is now being played by Adam Harrington.

Stephen A. Smith gets more airtime as Brick on Tuesday, February 6. He’ll share scenes with Maurice Benard’s Sonny, his longtime employer and mob boss. Smith also airs on Friday, February 10.

The Young and the Restless

Beth Maitland makes another appearance as Traci Abbott over at The Young and the Restless. Look for the character and her sister, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), to spend more time in Paris solving a Tucker (Trevor St. John) mystery on Monday, February 5.

Veronica Redd returns as Mamie Johnson on Friday, February 5. She’ll interact with her onscreen nephew, Sean Dominic’s Nate.

Cait Fairbanks pops in as Tessa Porter. She’ll interact with Melissa Ordway’s Abby on Monday, February 5.

Days of our Lives

James Read makes another appearance as jailbird Clyde Weston on Days of our Lives. The Statesville prison inmate shares powerful scenes with Steve Burton’s Harris Michaels on Thursday, February 8.

Two adorable kids are back on the Salem scene. Cary Christopher and Autumn Gendron reprise their roles as Chad’s (Billy Flynn) son and daughter, Thomas and  Charlotte DiMera, on Friday, February 9. The pair interacts with Susan Seaforth Hayes’s Julie when their older cousin reads them both a bedtime story.

Meanwhile, the Salem PD has two new cops on the force. Christy St. John has been portraying Officer Goldman, and Brian Molina has been playing Officer Phillips.
