Soap Opera Casting For The Week of October 31, 2022
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Patrick Duffy is heading back to The Bold and the Beautiful as Stephen Logan, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), and Katie Logan’s (Heather Tom) father, in late November. The actor originally portrayed the character from 2006 to 2011.
Joining Duffy on this run will be his real-life girlfriend Linda Purl, who recently appeared as Peyton Honeycutt on General Hospital. She’ll play Stephen’s new girlfriend.
The Young and the Restless’ Tracey Bregman crosses over to her CBS sister soap as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, this week, too. She’ll share scenes with John McCook’s Eric Forrester this week.
Three contestants from Big Brother 24 make cameo appearances on Wednesday, November 2, and Thursday, November 3. Joseph Abdin and Monte Taylor Hill will portray reporters Sid and Del, while Taylor Hale plays Mackenzie, a model.
Darin Brooks pops in as Wyatt Spencer on Thursday, November 3. He’ll have scenes with his TV dad, Don Diamont, who plays Bill Spencer.
Aaron D. Spears returns to the soap as Justin Barber. He’ll begin airing on Tuesday, November 1.
Hollis W. Chambers portrays Paul, Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) co-worker at Il Giardino. He’ll be part of the show’s special episode centered on Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), airing on Halloween.
Days of our Lives
Speaking of Halloween, Days of our Lives is planning a spooky return. Mike Manning is back as the ghost of Charlie Dale on Monday, October 31. He’ll share scenes with his TV mom, Tamara Braun’s Ava Vitali, as the pair plot revenge on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
Stacy Haiduk is back on the scene as Susan Banks on Thursday, November 3. She’ll share scenes with Carson Boatman’s Johnny DiMera.
Finley Rose Slater gets more airtime as Rachel Black, this week. The young actress will interact with her onscreen parents, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Kyle Lowder has completed his latest stint as Rex Brady. The character will be back in the ensuing months.
General Hospital
The long-missing Charlotte Cassadine is finally resurfacing on General Hospital. Amelia McLain is back on the scene as Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) daughter, this week. McLain took over the role from Scarlett Fernandez, who played Charlotte from 2016 to 2021.
William Moses and Denise Crosby make their debut as Elizabeth Webber Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) parents, Jeff and Carolyn Webber. Jeff was last on the soap in 1981, when he was portrayed by Richard Dean Anderson and made his first appearance at the end of this past Friday’s show. The character Carolyn is new to the soap.
Earlier in the month of October, it was announced that Alley Mills, currently recurring on The Bold and the Beautiful as Pam Douglas, would be joining General Hospital in a mystery role. She debuted on October 28, 2022, as a recast of Heather Webber, or Whackdoodle as Tracy Quartermaine called her, or Franco’s mom to fans. Regardless of how she is remembered, the audience is in for a wild ride!
The Young and the Restless
Fans of Tracey Bregman take note: she’s heading to The Bold and the Beautiful, this week, as Lauren Fenmore Baldwin. However, don’t fret. She’ll be back on The Young and the Restless before you know it. It’s a one-episode crossover guest spot.
Viewers haven’t seen the last of James Hyde, who’s playing Jeremy Stark. The character from Diane Jenkins’s (Susan Walters) past will be back on the canvas.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
