After a three-year run, Allison Lanier has wrapped up her role as Summer Newman. The actress, who replaced the popular Hunter King in 2022, revealed the news on X. “I’ve loved the journey and learned so much but it’s time to grow in a different direction… very grateful for all of the Y&R fans who have supported me,” announced Lanier, adding that her last air date was May 2. There’s no word on the show’s plans to recast the character, who left town for Italy on Marchetti business.
As her storyline with Camryn Grimes’ Mariah heats up, Cait Fairbanks continues to get more screen time as Tessa. The couple shares scenes together on Tuesday May 6.
