The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 22, 2019 features a day full of surprises, as Sharon has an answer to Adam’s proposal, Chelsea looked out for herself, and Victor found someone willing to take him on. Also, Kyle and Lola were still happy.
Sharon (Sharon Case) told Adam (Mark Grossman) she can’t marry him. Adam wanted Sharon to make him a better person. Sharon wasn’t interested in going down that dark road again. He accused her of wanting a safe, boring life. Sharon didn’t think there’s anything wrong with that. She left and Adam threw barware, classic soap-man style.
An upset Sharon was comforted by Nick (Joshua Morrow) — just as Adam and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) walked in.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tries mighty, mighty hard to charm Chelsea into lending her the money to buy a share of The Grand Phoenix Hotel from Abby (Melissa Ordway). Chelsea recalled all the insults Phyllis so recently slung her way, and went to Abby, buying Phyllis’ share herself.
Phyllis was furious to be double-crossed, but Abby revealed Victor (Eric Braeden) overheard her plans to eventually push Abby out.
Phyllis blamed Victor — one of the few times something actually isn’t his fault! Then she announced that she’ll get him and bring him down. Just like Adam promised earlier! Do these people not understand that Victor always wins? Always.
On their honeymoon, Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) made plans for the future. They expected it to be happy. Kyle saw major professional success, while Lola imagines a more idyllic family life.
In any case, they expect to never have any problems. It’s almost like they don’t live in Genoa City. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
