The Matt Clark drama has subsided for now on The Young and the Restless. How do we know? Because we’re finally getting to see Nick get some help for his addiction. And his mother is right there by his side in this photo preview for Thursday, June 11.
Key Takeaways
- Nikki supports Nick as he focuses on his sobriety.
- Nick takes an important step toward recovery.
- Phyllis turns to Lauren for guidance and support.
Scenes from Genoa City
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) has been understandably worried about her son. Nick (Joshua Morrow) has been laser-focused on getting revenge on Matt (Roger Howarth). And then her son was thrown for a serious loop after Matt became super apologetic after he regained his memories. But now that Victor (Eric Braeden) has decided what he will do with Matt, which is set him up to live on the ranch and then sic him on Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), it’s time for Nick to focus on himself.
According to the weekly teasers, Nikki will support Nick with his sobriety. The photos above show her doing just that as they attend a support group together. We’ll see if Jack (Peter Bergman) will be Nick’s sponsor (after he comes back from his trip to Fairmont Crest). Victor hated the fact that Jack supported Nikki through her most recent relapse. And should he do the same for Nick, Victor will probably be livid.
It looks like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) could lean on Lauren (Tracey Bregman) on Thursday. The former CEO of Summers Conglomerate has been licking her wounds after being forced to give back the company formerly known as Newman Enterprises. One thing that Phyllis has to be grateful for is the support that Lauren gave her through it all.
Lauren showed up for Phyllis in a way that Phyllis probably wished her kids had done for her. And now the two are chatting again. Are they rehashing recent events? Or are they planning something for the future? Phyllis knows she can rely on Lauren for support, the truth, her business acumen, and sometimes even tough love.
