Genoa City Is Present and Accounted For
Martin’s fundraiser continues to pull the elite families of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be the keynote speaker at the big event that will hopefully provide a boost to Martin’s reelection campaign. On Wednesday, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) Abbott — sworn enemies of Victor — arrive. Smitty (Mike Manning) was right. Jack and Victor cannot sit at the same table. Their legendary rivalry has gone on for decades — since the ’80s.
And right now, the Newmans and the Abbotts are not in a good place, with Victor having kidnapped Jack as leverage to get his company back. It didn’t work, although it did cause much damage to Jack and Diane’s marriage. Meanwhile, Kyle (Michael Mealor) is the key to his parents’ presence at the fundraiser. He and Martin apparently knew each other back in the day in New York City. Kyle is currently very single. His most recent romance was pretty serious, but that went bust.
Devon (Bryton James) and Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) kind of need this break from Genoa City. Their marriage just went through a rough patch after their son was kidnapped. But that’s all behind them now. Devon has visited Fairmont Crest and its country club before. In fact, he met with Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) and spoke briefly with Dani (Karla Mosley).
Naomi Supports Ashley…Getting Out of Her Apartment
Ever since Derek (Ben Gavin) died, Ashley (Jen Jacob) has been grieving hard. She has had the support of her mom, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), and even Dani and Andre (Sean Freeman). But she has been in a dark place, understandably. Look for Naomi to try to lighten things up for Ashley when she convinces her bestie to join her at the club.
Disaster at the Country Club
It’s a good thing that Ashley will be at the club, because they will undoubtedly need her nursing skills. Now that the Duprees, the Newmans, and the Abbotts are all together, of course, a natural disaster happens. A tornado strikes Fairmont Crest, bringing chaos, drama, and unexpected situations.
