The Young and the Restless Sharon Rey
On The Young and the Restless, Rey Rosales and Sharon Rosales had a serious discussion about how he felt he missed out on parenting. Although Sharon feels her family is his, he realizes that he doesn’t share the type of bond with her children that Nick Newman does. But, of course, Chelsea Lawson interrupted right in the middle, which means they might not finish the important talk, which would be a disaster.
While it’s unlikely that Sharon (Sharon Case) would have a baby at this point, she and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) could consider following in Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) steps and adopting a child who needs a home. That way, Rey would be able to experience being a dad to his own child with Sharon while also helping out a kid who needs a home.
Even if they didn’t choose to adopt a new child, Rey might also realize he’d enjoy being a grandpa to Mariah and Tessa’s child and it would give him a taste of being part of the family in a way that he hasn’t before. Of course, it’s possible that Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) interruption will keep these two from exploring their options.
If Rey and Sharon don’t get a chance to work through this situation, it’s possible Rey may turn to somebody like Chelsea to father a child. She’s undoubtedly free right now, and she seems to enjoy Rey’s friendship, so something happening between them isn’t unfathomable even though she tried to poison him to frame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for murder.
Rey’s discontent has been evident for a while now, and he needs to let his wife know. Of course, if he can’t get past his desire to have a child, then Sharon might not be the woman for Rey in the long run. Either way, these two need to have a serious discussion soon without any interruptions.
