Y&R spoilers reveal that Chelsea Lawson is about to shake things up. While we expect her to cause some major fireworks with Sally Spectra, there’s another way we think she could make waves in Genoa City. We speculate that Chelsea will engage in a scandalous affair.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Chelsea’s Scandalous Affair
Genoa City is overdue for something unexpected. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) have been married with no big issues for a year. Then, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) broke up for no real reason.
Possibly the last significant moment of infidelity came when Nick cheated on Sharon with Phyllis or perhaps amid the Summer Newman (Hunter King), Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) love triangle. In short, it’s time for an illicit dalliance between two people who absolutely do not have any business sleeping together.
We can’t think of anybody better to fill this role than Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). After all, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) made it abundantly clear that he’s only interested in co-parenting Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with her.

An Affair to Remember
One possibility for an affair is Chelsea and Rey. While she poisoned him, trying to set up Adam for murder, for some reason, Rey seems to have decided to let bygones be bygones. We’re not quite sure why he seems to have such a soft spot for Chelsea, but we could for sure see these two growing closer and stepping over the line, especially if Sharon finds herself caught up in Nick’s newest plan for himself and his family.
However, an even more explosive situation for Y&R spoilers to reveal would be an affair between Chelsea and her almost stepson Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). He’s sad and seemingly has nothing to lose. Sure, Chelsea is the mother of his newest little buddy and cousin, Connor, but stranger things have happened. It doesn’t seem like Genoa City residents worry all that much if their romantic partners were married to their uncles or other family members (we’re looking at you, Sharon).
Both Rey and Noah need something to liven up their storylines. Sleeping with a con woman like Chelsea — a woman his father was once in love with — would undoubtedly add some unexpected spice. Who knows? Maybe Chelsea will carry on affairs with both men at the same time?
