Young and the Restless Needs More Adam And Sally ASAP

The Young and the Restless features Adam Newman trying his best to keep Sally Spectra at arm’s length. It’s a constant tug of war, and every time he seems to break free, Adam and Sally end up kissing again.

Young and the Restless: A Fresh Relationship For Adam

It’s no surprise to us that Adam (Mark Grossman) keeps finding himself drawn in by the vibrant designer. Since his return to Genoa City, Adam found himself mostly torn between his old flames, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Eagan). In fact, Adam’s feelings for Sharon ended up pushing Chelsea off the deep end after he kidnapped her, leading to a brain injury.

Sure, Adam and Sharon have their fair share of “Shadam” fans, and we love that the actors share a real-life romance. However, if they pair these two again, it’s yet another revisit of something that happened more than a decade ago. To be honest, we don’t see Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) lasting, but we just don’t think she and Adam are end game.

Ultimately, for Adam and Sharon, there’s too much water under the bridge. She’s certainly in his corner, but given the drama with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), we don’t see something long-lasting in the cards for these two.

Here’s Why Adam Newman And Sally Spectra Work

Over the years, we’ve seen positive growth for Adam, and as such, we want to see him looking forward with his relationships instead of backward. Both Sharon and Chelsea tried to change Adam. However, we feel that Sally recognizes a kindred spirit in Adam. She accepts him as he is, warts and all because Sally knows she needs a fresh start as much as Adam.

Not only that, but Sally is something new for Adam. He’s turned over a new leaf with his Newman family, and we’d love to see him do the same thing with Sally. Yes, given that they’re both ruthless, we could see them tending toward toxic behavior. However, since they both hope to do better this time around, we could see them pairing up to become a supercouple ready to take Genoa City by storm.

We love the push and pull for a slow buildup, but we’re afraid if it takes too long, they won’t get together. We want this couple to be the real thing — and move forward toward romance ASAP!
