Victor Newman has committed many, many crimes on The Young and the Restless. He’s been arrested for a few, stood trial for a few more, even spent a minute behind bars — before he charmed a prison doctor into helping him.

Young and the Restless Polling

Will Victor (Eric Braeden) end up behind bars again thanks to his role in covering up Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death? Soap Hub posed the question, and you came through with the answer.

Young and the Restless: Free as a Bird

Oh, please, 69% of you can’t even believe we’re asking. The guy has beat actual murder raps before, not to mention kidnapping, blackmail, extortion, and mental torture. Why in the world would anyone think he’d be forced to pay for his crimes now?

The guy is untouchable. We’d venture he had the entire Genoa City Police Department and the District Attorney’s office on his payroll, if only that weren’t also a crime — and Victor never, ever commits those.

A Better Y&R Chance

Only 16% of the audience is hinging their hopes on Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) being that rare investigator who won’t bend to Victor’s will. Remember when we thought Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) might be that? Yeah…that was fun.

Chance, it would seem, has even less of a chance (ha!) to remain free of Victor’s influences, seeing as how he’s married to Victor’s daughter, Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway). And he’s expected to just roll over and play dead where her daddy is concerned.

Young and the Restless Who Knows

A slightly smaller and forever optimistic 15% of fans think incarceration just might be a possibility this time, as Victor seems awfully close to being caught. Looks like he screwed up, getting his flunky caught on camera in Ashland’s car.

Plus, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) looks super eager to confess, not to mention too many other people are being told the truth. Sure, Victor expects they’ll all sacrifice their own freedom to protect him, but what if that doesn’t happen…this time?
