The Young and the Restless is all but shining a beacon on the difficulty of Mariah Copeland continuing to live in Abby Chancellor’s house…while watching her play mommy to the baby Mariah carried and birthed.
Tessa Porter wants to help her girlfriend in any way she can. Is a new home the answer? What over 2,000 budding real estate agents advised her – and us to do:
It wasn’t even close as 88% of you think it’s definitely time for a change of address. First, it’s awkward being Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) guest, not really feeling like she can be herself.
But, worst of all, is the proximity to Dominic. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) can’t stay away from the infant – and Abby wants her anywhere but. Maybe if Mariah wasn’t so constantly facing temptation, she could move on and get the fresh start she deserves.
Not quite yet, 10% of The Young and the Restless audience cautions. Mariah isn’t ready yet to cut the cord – almost literally. She needs to convince herself that Baby Bowinic is in good hands, that his real mom – and, preferably, his AWOL dad – are taking good care of him, that he has everything he needs, and that it’s time for Mariah to take a step back and just be his favorite aunt. Until she can feel that, being away from him will only make Mariah more anxious.
Only 2% believe that Dominic needs both his moms – especially if his dad never intends to return. Were we the only ones who thought the obvious solution to the pile of blankets we’re supposed to believe is Dominic not wanting his bottle the other day was for Mariah to breastfeed him? We know Mariah and Abby signed a contract, but is Abby really going to put a signed piece of paper ahead of her son’s health and well-being?
