It seems like 2022 is promising to be the year of spectacular self-destruction on The Young and the Restless. Who is going to get there first, best, and worst of all in Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless Self-Sabotage

After all, there’s plenty of strange behavior and self-sabotage that we keep seeing all over town. We heard from over 2,000 backseat psychologists on the candidates:

All Part of the Plan

There was no way that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) wouldn’t have come out on top of this list since he is currently the one going out of his way to look like he’s falling apart in real-time. Of course, 45% of the audience are concerned that Billy is too much of a method actor and, like Michael Jackson warned us, “a lie becomes the truth.”

The Great Young and the Restless Pretender

And then there’s Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who got out of an attempted murder rap by pretending to be crazy. Now that she’s out of the looney bin, 28% of you are worried that she, too, will girl-boss too close to the sun and turn into exactly who she was pretending to be. Chelsea is certainly acting crazy these days when it comes to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)…which is how she traditionally begins her self-destruction.

Real Trouble

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) was denying the post-traumatic stress he obviously suffered post-being presumed dead. Now that he’s confessed his true feelings to Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), will that clear the air…or only put more pressure on him to keep acting like the perfect husband and father that Abby demands, 20% fret.

The Other Young and the Restless Father

Only 7% are worried about Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) mental health since this whole situation with Dominic was absolutely predictable – and equally avoidable. He knew what the terms were going in, and if he now chooses to disregard them, that’s his problem. This shouldn’t lead to self-destruction. It should lead to self-reflection.
