It’s no secret that Traci Abbott has been the conscience of her family and Genoa City on The Young and the Restless. That’s why it was a great sign that Jack Abbott took her into his confidence about Billy Abbott’s misguided plan to bring down Adam Newman and Victor Newman. We felt delighted to see Traci unexpectedly show up to interrupt Victoria Newman Locke’s plans.
Young and the Restless: Traci Abbott Saves the Day
Although both Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) weren’t thrilled to see Traci (Beth Maitland) at The Grand Phoenix, it looked like Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) breathed a sigh of relief. If anybody can talk Billy into putting a stop to his nonsensical plan to get back at Adam (Mark Grossman) and Victor (Eric Braeden), it’s her former best friend Colleen Carlton’s mom.
We agreed with Lily that Traci showing up and preventing Billy and Victoria from moving forward with yet another stage of the plan was a great stroke of fortune. Finally, Billy seemed to take his sister’s advice to heart, and combined with Lily’s disapproval, we feel hopeful that Billy might give up on his Young and the Restless war with the Newmans.

Clash of the Titans
Of course, Victoria mistakenly felt she could blow off Traci’s words. She didn’t seem at all moved by her former sister-in-law’s advice. However, Traci showed a strong backbone and character by showing up at Newman Locke to ensure that Victoria got the message. There’s absolutely no way Traci will allow Billy and Victoria to continue with the deceit, and we couldn’t be happier to see that.
Whether or not Victoria takes Traci’s words to heart remains to be seen. However, after seeing how deeply Traci cared about the situation, we don’t think she’ll let this go without exposing the whole thing, which means Victoria no longer has the upper hand. Somebody nearly always steps up to save Billy from himself. We were pleasantly surprised to see it may be Traci this time.
