The Young and the Restless recaps for October 25 – October 29, 2021, feature several men on a mission, a relationships slow disintegration, tragic news, and so much more.
During a hushed conversation with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) floated the theory that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had a hand in harming Jesse Gaines…Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) asked Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to testify against Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) during the man’s upcoming murder trail. Despite her misgivings, Amanda agreed to do so – for her father’s sake.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) learn that Chance Chancellor is missing and presumed dead. A disturbed Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) phoned Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and requested his presence.
Adam treated Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to lunch at Society. Their meal is interrupted by a mercenary Billy. Adam sees his rival off; Sally wonders if Adam is scared of what Billy may one day do to him…Sharon Rosales (Sharon Chase) overhears Billy discussing Adam’s possible involvement in Jesse’s disappearance.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) reconnected in the biblical sense. The mood sours when pillow talk turns to a reflection on Nick’s dissatisfaction with his family, and what he perceives to be Phyllis’s trivializing of his woes.
Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) throws his lot in with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam, who are determined to steal ChancComm out from underneath an unsuspecting Billy…Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) bemoaned his current predicament, as well as his dad’s estrangement from Victor and Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle).
Sharon makes her position perfectly clear – she’s giving Adam the benefit of the doubt…Phyllis and Nick distance themselves from one another; Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) encouraged Phyllis to keep the lines of communication open; Nick blows Phyllis off when she makes overtures…Ashland receives an update about his condition – the chemotherapy isn’t working.
Sharon advised Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) to rein Billy in. Rey isn’t the least bit pleased to realize that Sharon has once again sided with Adam…Adam eavesdropped on Billy’s opinion to Sally that her boss is involved in a man’s disappearance, as well as Sally defending his honor.
Christine Blair Williams (Lauralee Bell) reveals that Chance’s watch has been found amongst the rubble of the bomb-leveled building. Abby refuses to see it as a sign that her husband was present at the time of the explosion.
Lily suggests that Billy discuss recent events with Victoria, in the hopes that she’ll soothe Victor’s ire…Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) cautioned Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) not to expect Sally and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to get along – especially in light of Sally’s interest in Adam.
Victoria and Ashland ask Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to research an experimental cancer treatment that has piqued their interest. After doing so, he tells the couple that the treatment is promising – but there’s only a slim chance that it will improve Ashland’s condition.
Noah admits to Sharon that he’s nursing a broken heart. When Nick shares that he and Phyllis are going through a rough patch, Noah encourages him to follow his heart, and Sharon does likewise. After Nick takes his leave, Sharon predicts that he and Phyllis are heading for splitsville.
Jack shares some words of wisdom with Phyllis, leading her to conclude that she may be the cause of her and Nick’s estrangement.
Christine presents Abby with Chance’s wedding ring – further proof that he was in the safe house when it exploded…Amanda tells Devon that she’s decided to testify against her grandfather…Phyllis and Nick attempt to bridge the gap between them – but their efforts only succeed in driving them further apart.
