The Young and the Restless recaps for February 14 – February 18, 2022, feature “That Loving Feeling,” career advancement, unwelcome texts, and so much more.
It’s still Valentine’s Day in Genoa City. Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) interrupts Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) celebration in order to present them with a painting he’s done of the two of them. Afterward, Tessa sings an original ballad.
Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) turn to Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) respectively for help in choosing a Valentine’s gift for the other. They both wind up purchasing the same concert tickets. Nicholas and Sharon fawn over the young lovebirds. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is left feeling like an odd man out.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) make love in the former’s office. Later, they have an awkward cross with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson). Sally makes a point of implying something’s transpired between her and Adam.
The “Baby Chancellor Crew” fret over wee Dominic. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) accompanies a specialist to the Chancellor Estate, and they explain to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), Abby Carlton Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) that Dominic has a rare blood disorder, and that a bone marrow transplant is necessary. Tests results indicate that Devon is a full match.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) invite Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) over to their apartment-cum-office and float the idea of Amanda becoming Chancellor Enterprises lead council. To sweeten the deal, they promise to find a position for Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose). Amanda agrees to put the proposition to her sister.
Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) makes a point of telling Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that Adam hired Sally to be Newman Media’s COO. Victor voices his displeasure to both Adam and Sally, but both stand their ground. Victor agrees to defer to Adam’s judgment – then asks his son to spy on Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nicholas catch up…Ashland and Victoria both agree that Adam is trouble with a capital T. They decide to fire him once the merger of Newman Enterprises and Newman Media goes through. Ashland’s desire to have more autonomy where running the company is concerned gives Victoria pause
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) returns from Milan and reveals that she’s staying put in GC; Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is thrilled. Later, Jack receives a mysterious summons to Los Angeles…Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) agrees to go into business with Chelsea and Chloe.
A concerned Abby reaches out to Rey, but he hedges when discussing Chance’s failure to come to his aide during the stakeout. Chance is furious that he’s the topic of Abby and Rey’s conversation, and he and his former partner exchange harsh words. Abby begs her husband to open up to her. He does just that.
Imani and Amanda accept the offer to come work for Chancellor Industries. Imani picks up on the chemistry between Amanda and Billy, but her sister poo-poos the notion…Victoria is thrown when Victor approves of Sally’s hiring…Adam and Sally sneak into The Grand Phoenix for some afternoon delight.
Ashland gives Nate the hard sell about coming aboard Newman Enterprises medical division…Victor hears back from Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). There’s a doctor willing to go on record about shady Ashland, but only if the price is right.
