The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 23, 2021, is back to circling around Victoria Newman, as Billy Abbott and Nick Newman argue about her personal relationship with Ashland Locke, Nikki Newman subtly tries to pry about Victoria’s professional relationship with him, and Sally Spectra thinks she can use their relationship to help herself – and Adam Newman.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

After Adam (Mark Grossman) convinces Sally (Courtney Hope) to take her fury out at Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and channel it towards career success, Sally tells Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Henrickson) that she has a brilliant idea – she’s going to convince Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to let Sally design her wedding dress. Chloe thinks that’s a good idea. But she’s really much more concerned to hear that Sally and Adam have bonded – yet again.

Y&R Recap: Company Policy

While continuing to plan Victoria’s wedding, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) casually wonders if Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will soon be coming to work at the newly renamed Newman-Locke. Victoria doesn’t appreciate her mother butting in.

Meanwhile, Adam doesn’t appreciate Victor (Eric Braeden) stomping in to tell Adam he shouldn’t be poaching employees from Newman. It will upset Victoria. Adam tells his dad to butt out. This is just business – isn’t that what Daddy taught him?

The Young and the Restless: Manly Men

Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) agree that Ashland is bad for Victoria, but they don’t agree on who should do what to prove it to Victoria. Nick returns to learn that Ashland has been talking to Phyllis about making Nick come around to them all being a happy family.

Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) wonders why Billy is suddenly writing about all the Genoa City denizens who have been married multiple times. Denizens like…Victoria? She accuses him of hoping to dig something up that will stop the wedding!

Meanwhile, Victoria takes another look at her husband-to-be’s sketch of their future twin towers — Newman and Locke. She seems a bit worried, but what was really going through her mind?
