Victoria Newman is getting married and it seems like her dad couldn’t be happier. Y&R spoilers show The Great Victor Newman is pleased as punch for his daughter. Or, is he? We think there’s something else is behind that ear-to-ear smile.
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation
Victor (Eric Braeden) being excited to welcome Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) into his family seems a little…off. It wasn’t that long ago The Mustache all but laughed when The Lockeness Monster had a heart attack on his couch. Victor can change his tune but not that fast. And, what’s more, is he wants to plan the wedding? That’s a red flag if we ever saw one.
A Very Important Young and the Restless Day
We can just see it now. Victor plans the perfect day. He picks out a beautiful venue (please do not be the lobby of the Phoenix, Society, or God forbid, Crimson Lights). He hires the best caterers. Victor even finds the best and freshest flowers. It’s a day that dreams are made of and more. At least that’s the way it seems. We’re pretty sure Ashland is going to regret letting Victoria’s dear old dad be in charge.
The bride and groom stand at the altar ready to pledge their lives to each other. They recite beautiful vows, they share words of love, and they put rings on each other’s fingers. There are tears of joy all around as they are pronounced husband and wife and share their first married kiss.

Y&R Spoilers: Ashland Shows His True Colors
This is the start of a horrible downfall for Victoria (Amelia Heinle), though. She is duped by Ashland, who immediately starts going after her assets as soon as she says ‘I do.’ He’s not only succeeded in getting her to merge the companies but now her big, juicy bank account (including her trust fund) too.

But wait, not so fast there Ashland. Does Victor have news for you. Just when Ashland is finished stripping Victoria of her assets and family’s company (and showing himself quite the party), Victor drops the father of all bombshells. Ashland and Victoria aren’t even married!
As it turns out, the person Victor hired to officiate the wedding was a fake and there was no marriage at all. Not then, and now not ever. Victor’s classic switcheroo proved Ashland for a fraud, saved his daughter’s bacon, and put a halt to the merger in one swoop. Victor becomes the hero of all heroes and he watches Ashland squirm.
