The Young and the Restless Recap: Phyllis Proves She Was Right

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 6, 2021, finally gives Phyllis Summers a win, which she promptly runs over to the Abbott house, where Tara Locke previously thought she had Kyle Abbott where she wanted him. Plus, Victor Newman has an offer for Rey Rosales, while Nick Newman warns Adam Newman off Sharon Rosales.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Kyle (Michael Mealor) yells at Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) for lying to him. Once she realizes she can’t talk her way out of it, Tara shrugs and says, oh, well, guess it’s time for me – and Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) – to go back to New York. Kyle throws a tantrum for Jack (Peter Bergman) to fix it.

But before his daddy can come through, Kyle’s almost-mother-in-law comes storming in to announce that Tara has been stealing from her own company. Phyllis figured it out! Tara is arrested, and Jack and Kyle tell Phyllis what a saint she is.

Phyllis drinks it up with her usual lack of modesty. Now Kyle and Summer (Hunter King) can reunite, take Harrison and play house! Has anyone asked Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) about that….? Kyle blinks his eyes and he’s in Milan, where he tells Summer he’s here to take her home.

Y&R Recap: No, Thank You

Victor (Eric Braeden) offers Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) a job at his private security company. He’ll pay him a lot more money than the Genoa City Police Department to watch Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). Rey politely turns him down.

At the same time, Nick (Joshua Morrow) is warning Adam (Mark Grossman) not to go after Sharon (Sharon Case) again. Adam acts surprised that his brother would even think of such a thing!

Victor drops by and suggests Nick join him and Adam in conquering the world. Nah, Nick says he wants to focus on his charity work. We think he just wants to be able to take off at any time of the day to do Phyllis’s bidding.
