The Young and the Restless Recap August 20, 2021
 Comments

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 20, 2021 promise a solution to the Mariah Copeland mystery now that Victor Newman is on the case, while Chloe Mitchell Fisher and Kevin Fisher explain to Sally Spectra why everyone deserves a second chance – except for Adam Newman, and Adam pops up when Sharon Rosales least expects him to.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

After weeks off foolishly trying to solve her own problems, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) sees the error of her ways and turns to Victor (Eric Braeden) for help with tracking down Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Victor is grumpy that Abby didn’t come to him right away, but magnanimously agrees to help her, anyway.

Meanwhile, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) feels she has a psychic link to Mariah and insists to Abby that they need to find her. Has Abby ever disagreed with that? Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) is there to nod wisely and supportively.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) does more than nod. He hires a private eye to look for Mariah. He also tells Abby it’s odd that Stitch claimed to be the new Chief of Surgery at Memorial when it’s actually Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) who got the position. Stitch admits it didn’t work out. Abby wonders why he’s still in town then. Stitch claims it’s for her.

Y&R Recap: Shoulder To Cry On

Earlier, Tessa was insisting to Sharon (Sharon Case) that they need to find Mariah. Has Sharon ever disagreed with that? What does Mariah think she is accomplishing. Adam also stops by to tell Sharon that he hopes Mariah is found soon. That’s…helpful?

Young and the Restless: Redeemer

Equally unhelpful are Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart), who tell Sally (Courtney Hope) that Adam is bad…but in the vaguest – and most intriguing – way possible. Maybe if they mentioned the whole, killed my child thing, Sally would have a better sense of why they’re so anti-Adam…while still working for him.
