The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 31, 2021, finishes out the month with Mariah Copeland learning what happened while she was gone, Victoria Newman throwing some accusations at Lily, and Victor Newman circling the wagons.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) wakes up from a nightmare calling for her baby. Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) assures her he’s fine and safe. Abby tells Mariah they thought she’d left town. Mariah can’t believe they thought she’d just take off without a word like that.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) fill the women in on Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) grabbing his son, Max, from the mental hospital and going on the run. Abby feels bad for her ex-husband. Mariah can’t believe she doesn’t want to see the bastard in jail. Mariah does.
Abby tells Mariah she named the baby Dominic. The D is for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), and the M is for Mariah. “Hm, the third letter,” Mariah observes.
Later, as Abby flits off, Mariah sobs to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) that she spent weeks just focusing on keeping her baby Bowie safe and alive. She doesn’t know how to let go!
Y&R Recap: Pushed Around
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) spills what he knows about Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) past to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who is unimpressed. Which is when Billy realizes that Nick and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) are digging around, too. Nick denies it, and Victor praises his son. Family first!
At the same time, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is accusing Lily (Christel Khalil) of letting Billy use her company to fight a personal vendetta. Lily postures to Victoria, but tells Billy she isn’t thrilled.
Young and the Restless: Doctor In the House
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) gives Ashland a medical pep-talk, which inspires him to tell Victoria the truth about how terrible he’s feeling.
