Victoria Newman is planning to wed the dying Ashland Locke. Y&R spoilers show she swears she’s doing it for love, but some little quirks suggest that’s a lie. The more Ashland fights for his life, the more nervous Victoria seems to become. Could it be she’s afraid her lover will not die? If so, what is she going to do about it?
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation: Victoria Wants A Win
It’s no secret Victoria (Amelia Heinle) wants it all. She wants money, power, prestige. We just don’t think that “all” means Ashland. We think Victoria saw an opportunity and pounced.
Y&R: Seize the Day
Ashland was heartbroken by Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), getting a divorce, letting go of pieces of his legacy, and dealing with a deadly illness. Talk about ripe for the picking! Victoria did what any power player Newman would do and went in for the kill, so to speak.
Victoria played the game to perfection. She won Ashland’s contract, stole his heart, and made Ashland believe she wanted a future. There was just one fatal (err, non-fatal) mistake — she talked him into wanting to live. So, here she is, getting close to marrying some mad money and wildly huge power, and Ashland is actually planning to be here for it all. Ugh, facepalm, right?

Young and the Restless: The Scheme Queen
Victoria is going to have to change gears to keep things moving forward. Y&R spoilers show she is still planning on walking down that aisle which tells us she has a plan B, C, and maybe even D. What are they, though?
Victoria isn’t a killer so that’s not one of them. But, we can see her protecting all her assets, put in some hidden clauses in those contracts to steal Ashland’s empire, and block any and all efforts to have him grow his company inside hers. Oh, and if worse come to worse, she probably has all the dirt she needs to blackmail her soon-to-be husband into submission. She will have full control and there won’t be anything he can say or do about it.
If anyone can pull off a scheming takeover, it’s The Great Victor Newman’s heir. While the men in her life are running around and digging for dirt, Victoria has her bases covered. No need to worry fellas, your girl’s got this!
