The Young and the Restless Recap: Lawyer Up, Settle Down

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, March 1 kicks off the new month with Devon and Mariah’s lawyers telling their clients to really think about what they’re giving up, and Phyllis and Summer continuing to lose their minds over Sally, while Kyle tries to convince Sally that he is not a spoiled, rich, trust fund brat – and stay away from his daddy!

Abby (Melissa Ordway) urged Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Devon (Bryton James) to hire their own lawyers. Is she still going to be as enthused about it when Amanda (Mishael Morgan) urges Devon to put in writing exactly how he will be a part of Chance and Abby’s baby’s life?

Meanwhile Brittany (Lauren Woodland) – with Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) support – urges Mariah to talk to a therapist about her feelings regarding what she’ll be giving up.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told Victor (Eric Braeden) she is worried that so much of the surrogacy process is out of Abby’s control – as opposed to pregnancy and parenting, which never comes up with any curveballs – and this is exactly the kind of stuff she means.

Off With Her Head

If we thought Summer (Hunter King) was acting like a complete loon when it came to Sally (Courtney Hope), then Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is dialing the crazy up to 11. She thinks Summer isn’t being crazy enough. Phyllis doesn’t just want Sally to lose her job, she wants her to have no friends or support, either!

That wouldn’t have anything to do with Phyllis watching Sally have dinner with Jack (Peter Bergman), would it? Kyle (Michael Mealor) isn’t too thrilled about that part, either. He wants to know what Sally’s intentions are with his Daddy. Sally sings Jack’s praises. While he listens outside the door.

But that is the least of Kyle’s worries as he meets with the mother of his child, Tara. He gets a few truths out of her, like the fact that he is the father of her child, that will turn his world upside down. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
