The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, May 20, 2021, is a tangled family web, as Victor basks in Adam and Nick hanging out, Summer confides in Phyllis, Victoria flirts with Ashland, and Chelsea begs Rey’s forgiveness.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) announces that he plans to claim paternity of Harrison. Summer (Hunter King) responds in the same mature fashion as she responds to all things, and goes running to Mommy. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is furious at Kyle and tells Summer she has every right to be angry. Phyllis will also be angry for her! Kyle assures Summer that they’ll be OK.
Ashland (Richard Burgi) decides to stay in Genoa City to get some business done. And maybe some personal stuff, too. When he and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) talk business – and flirt – it looks like he may be able to combine both.
Billy (Jason Thompson) is not enthused to see the two sharing a drink, but then continues his plans to move in with Lily (Christel Khalil).
Nick (Joshua Morrow) stops by Adam’s (Mark Grossman) and the two decide to watch baseball together. It beats reading or playing poker. Victor (Eric Braeden) stops by and is excited to see his two sons getting along. He informs Adam they will now crush the competition and change the name of Ashland’s company to Newman Media. Adam smirks that Victoria won’t like it. Neither knows that Victoria has a new friend.
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is cross-examining Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) when – speak of the crazy! – Chelsea asks to see Rey. She apologizes to him for trying to poison him, then clarifies that it wasn’t even about him. It was about Adam. As everything so often is. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
