 Comments

The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 12, 2021 has Jack Abbott striding through Genoa City, explaining why his son and grandson are ever so much more important than that pesky First Amendment. Plus, work comes between Nate Hastings and Elena Dawson, and Phyllis Summers continues feeling good about herself.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) ran off to Italy to have copious sex with Summer Newman (Hunter King) – do they ever do anything else? It’s either sex or getting teary-eyed – leaving his dad to deal with protecting Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) – remember Harrison, the son who Kyle only met this summer and now will do anything for…save stay in Genoa City when Milan beckons.

So while Kyle works on his tan and eats cannoli, Jack is trying to keep Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) from writing a story about Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) arrest.

Lily points out that every single other media outlet is going to write about it. Billy, who, earlier, discussed Harrison’s future with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), isn’t about to kill the story because his brother demands it. But… but…family! Abbotts! John, for Pete’s sake!

Y&R Recap: Schedule Snafu

Nate (Sean Dominic) is Elena’s (Brytni Sarpy) new boss. He makes a joke about changing Elena’s schedule at the hospital so they can spend more time together. She flies off the handle. Hey, Nate, ask Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) what happened when he paid off Elena’s student loans. When your relationship is going too smoothly, Elena is always ready to find problems.

Young and the Restless: All Hail Me

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tells Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) how she got justice for Summer. Amanda tells her she’s wonderful. Nick (Joshua Morrow) tells Phyllis she’s wonderful. Phyllis once again laments her great loss.

Also, Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) doesn’t want to be a doctor anymore. He’s decided he wants to be in the music business. Luckily, his brother owns a music company. We can’t wait to hear, next year, Moses boast about how he’s worked for every professional accomplishment…just like Jabot CEO Kyle and Newman heiress Summer.
