The Young and the Restless recap for September 21-25, 2020, features Operation Take Down Adam commencing (and hitting a snag along the way).
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Sometimes it’s best to just let sleeping dog’s lie. However, Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) decided that some metaphorical pooches need to be shaken awake.
She’s given Billy (Jason Thompson) the means to go after Adam (Mark Grossman) – not only for his murder of A.J. Montalvo but also for his attempted murder of Victor (Eric Braeden) – but he’ll have to be the one to follow through and actually bring all of Adam’s sins to light.
And he has a plan. A plan that will culminate in the publication of a tell-all article penned by one of the many, many unfortunates that Adam screwed over. The fact that said writer just happens to be the daughter of the man Adam killed during his youth is the icing on the cake.
But Billy has to find her first. He briefly fears that Alyssa’s been silenced – permanently. Then he finds out that she merely left town on her own accord to track down a lead. A false lead provided by Adam. See, he’s not irredeemably evil. Just really inconsiderate of Alyssa’s time and efforts.
Selfish, Selfish
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is currently waging a losing battle with herself. She isn’t concerned with how Amanda (Mishael Morgan) is copping with the news of her parentage. The only thing that bothers Elena is how the situation is affecting her and the relationship she has with Devon’s (Bryton James).
She’s the only one that Devon should be worried about. She’s the only one Devon should be lavishing attention on. She doesn’t think Devon should ever think of his dead wife ever again. And she certainly doesn’t want him strolling down memory lane with her identical twin. It will only complicate things for Elena, and she doesn’t like complicated.
And damn Nate (Sean Dominic) for helping Amanda discover her identity. Didn’t he stop to consider how doing so would affect Elena? Nate should only be thinking about Elena and her feelings. No consideration should be made for Amanda. In fact, Amanda should just go away. It would make Elena’s life so much easier.
YR Musings
So, Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) are officially engaged. They even have the actual bands to prove it…no cherry steam for these two. But they’re not exactly getting the reactions they’d like to. In fact, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are PISSED!
But…what exactly did they think the next logical step for the young adults would be? They’re already planning on moving into a house together. A house that Nick is building for them. Apparently free of charge. Did neither parent ever consider the fact that a marriage would be right around the corner?
While one relationship flourishes, another ends. So long Lola (Sasha Calle) and Theo (Tyler Johnson). We hardly knew ye. Now maybe Theo can find a girl that doesn’t enjoy staring an argument for the hell of it. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
