It’s not unexpected that fans might think Alyssa is working for Victor on The Young and the Restless.
The Young and the Restless Polling
After all, if Victor knows all, and Victor always wins, he’s got to be behind this latest plot of Adam’s (Mark Grossman) to blackmail Daddy into being proud of him, doesn’t he? Is that where this storyline is going? What almost 6,000 viewers had to say:
A majority 77% of you have no doubt that’s exactly what’s going on. It was all just a little too convenient. Adam goes home to Kansas and, what do you know, here’s his old childhood friend, just popping up now – and not on any previous visits – to tell Adam a tale of her dead, no-good father.
This, naturally, leads Adam to think that Victor (Eric Braeden) killed him. His evidence? Adam and Hope didn’t go to the funeral. They only sent pie! If Hope and Adam didn’t pay their respects properly, surely something wicked was afoot.
But, fear not, Adam, that evidence you didn’t have a few days ago? Here comes Alyssa with all the proof you need! That was sure easy. The coroner just broke down and blabbed. After years of alleged silence. Oh, come on. If this isn’t a set-up, we don’t know what is!
It Can’t Be
Victor isn’t God, a smaller 23% of the audience dares suggest. He can’t control every single person who ever lived. And, anyway, what’s in it for him to have Adam blackmail him?
Sure, he could be trying to figure out the sort of man his son really is. But Victor already knows what kind of man his son really is. He’s blackmailed him before. He’s tried to kill Victor before. This isn’t another test. This is real. Victor, for once, isn’t pulling the strings. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
