The Young and the Restless Recap: Chelsea’s Verdict Is In

The Young and the Restless Recap for May 31
 Comments

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, May 31, 2021, ends the month with Chelsea getting away with her crimes – kind of, Summer wanting to know what Sally is trying to get away with now, and Kyle can’t wait to rub Ashland’s face in Harrison’s paternity.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Ashland (Richard Burgi) barges into the Abbott Mansion demanding to see his wife and son. Kyle (Michael Mealor) is chomping at the bit to pound his chest and announce that he’s Harrison’s proud papa, not Ashland.

But Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) stopped him. Jack (Peter Bergman) agreed. They shouldn’t do anything rash until they have proof. Besides, Ashland is the only father Harrison has ever known. It’s best for him to spend time with the mogul.

Yeah, yeah, sure, Kyle agrees, thinking how he’ll be putting an end to that shortly. Tara shares that Harrison kept asking when they were all going home together. It made her sads.

Like a Violin

Sally (Courtney Hope) puts up with Summer’s (Hunter King) by now rote remarks about how much Sally sucks, then innocently drops that she heard of an Italian fashion house that’s hiring (knowing that once Ashland pulls strings and the job is offered to Summer, she won’t be able to resist snatching something that she thinks Sally wants).

Summer has to run when Kyle calls to say the paternity results are in. She doesn’t make it in time to hear Kyle tell Ashland that Harrison is actually an Abbott. (Though he hasn’t opened the envelope yet.)

Out Of The Frying Pan

Adam (Mark Grossman) gets word that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) won’t be serving jail time. She’ll stay at the mental hospital. Victor (Eric Braeden) drops by to remind Chelsea that since he made this happen, she’ll stay locked up for as long as Victor sees fit.

Chelsea isn’t thrilled to hear this. Neither is Michael (Christian LeBlanc), to hear that Victor visited. He still suspects Newman is behind everything. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
