The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, June 8, 2021, plunges Amanda into a mystery, Summer into step-parenthood, and Tara into the fishbowl that is Genoa City.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) thinks she finally has the perfect defense for Sutton (Jack Landron). He didn’t kill Rick because Rick was threatening to expose his shady business dealings with Newman Enterprises. That’s because Rick wasn’t threatening to expose his shady business dealings.
Rick was trying to track down his long-lost daughter – Amanda. Except Sutton doesn’t want her revealing the truth. He claims he’s protecting Naya (Ptosha Storey) – according to Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose). Amanda is tired of hearing her directives secondhand. She wants to speak to Sutton directly!
Getting To Know You
Kyle (Michael Mealor) introduces Harrison to Summer (Hunter King). Harrison is as indifferent to her as he is to every other stranger the poor child has been introduced to over the past few weeks. Kyle is thrilled by how well they’re hitting it off and is already making plans for all the fun things the three of them will do together.
He and Summer will watch Harrison grow up! Summer, for her part, is more focused on planning their wedding. She needs to make sure Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) knows who Kyle belongs to. And she needs it to be made official.
Getting To Know All About You
Meanwhile, Mariah (Camryn Grimes), who was never Summer’s biggest fan, is suddenly singing her praises… to Tara. Tara, at first, is confused as to why everyone suddenly knows her business… and why they care. Mariah reiterates that Summer and Kyle are a couple for the ages. What God hath joined together, let no Tara put asunder. Oh… kay… Tara says. She needs to go, strange person.
Side Note
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) tells Nate (Sean Dominic) she got a job offer in another city. Does this mean she’s really leaving Genoa City? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
