The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 22, 2021, is set back in Genoa City, where Billy Abbott and Lily Winters wonder where Jesse Gaines went, Ashland Locke and Victoria Newman hope nobody ever finds out, Abby Chancellor finds out what happened to her missing husband, and Noah Newman makes his presence felt.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) is giddy with anticipation when Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) says she’s on her way over with news about Chance. Chris is forced to confess that the city where Chance has been working undercover has been hit by a bomb.
The building where he was staying collapsed, and there were no survivors. Abby refuses to believe what she is hearing. Considering Chancellor family history with coming back from the dead (Katherine… Phillip), we kind of don’t blame her.
Billy (Jason Thompson) overheard Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) order Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to destroy ChanceComm. To try and circumvent that, Billy realizes he needs to find out what Victor did with Jesse (Jamison Jones). Unless it’s too late.
Meanwhile, Ashland (Richard Burgi) is scouring the Internet, making sure Jesse didn’t leak the story. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is surprised. She believed Daddy when he said the situation was handled. Ashland doesn’t quite have the same faith in Victor’s God-like qualities.
Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) try to get a straight answer out of their son about what Noah’s (Rory Gibson) future plans are, but he keeps changing the subject.
One escape hatch is when he sees a newly reunited Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and saunters over to tell them he’s moving back to Genoa City. He missed his family living in London. And his friends, Noah says…while smiling wistfully at Tessa.
