The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, September 28, 2021, circles Victoria Newman’s upcoming wedding, as she rejects the dress Lauren Fenmore offers her while Adam Newman accepts an invitation to be there on her big day. Meanwhile, Devon Hamilton shares his connection to Dominic with Amanda, and Phyllis Summers misplaces her boo.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tries on her wedding dress, which Lauren (Tracey Bregman) assures her is perfect. Victoria doesn’t agree. She hedges that she’s just set her standards so high because she has such great expectations for her wedding.

But Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) picked up on the negative vibes and told Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) that she wants to try again to convince Victoria to wear one of her designs at the wedding. Chloe thinks it’s a non-starter. But Sally has a lot more moxie than that. She makes plans to have the dress sewn. Money is no object!

Y&R Recap: For Dad’s Sake

Victoria admits to Adam (Mark Grossman) that she only invited him to her wedding to make Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) happy. Adam admits to Victoria that he only accepted her invitation to her wedding to make Victor happy. They agree they’re not quite friends yet. But they are coming slowly to being actual siblings. So that’s something.

Later, Sally asked Adam if he was going to Italy for the nuptials. He said he was, but he’s not looking for a date. Sally shrugs. But if he wants company, she’s around.

Devon (Bryton James) admits to Amanda (Mishael Morgan) that he’s more attached to Dominic than he expected to be, but then quickly pivots to offering to show Amanda around the penthouse…since she lives there now. That chat seemed…unfinished.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) can’t track down Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) at the same time as Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) cancels a dinner date with Victoria, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tells his pilot only Jack and Phyllis will be taking a private plane to Italy. What exactly is going on here?
