The Young and the Restless Poll Spec: Should The Vegas Secret Come Out?

The Young and the Restless just dropped a major secret about Adam. When he was a kid, he killed AJ, a loan shark threatening Hope. He then promptly forgot all about it, leaving Victor (Eric Braeden) to clean up the mess and stoically carry on for all their sakes.

But, while they were busy revealing this one secret, The Powers That Be are pointedly ignoring another one: What Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chance (Danny Boaz) did in Las Vegas. They intended for it to stay in Vegas. But Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) found out that Chance and Adam killed a guy and covered it up. She used the secret to blackmail Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) out of The Grand Phoenix. But is it time for everyone else to find out, too?

Turnabout Is Fair Play

It would certainly take away Phyllis’s ammunition. That would make Abby and Chance, and Chelsea and Adam happy. But it would also – if justice actually worked in Genoa City – send Chance and Adam to jail. That would make them and their women sad. Plus, it might make Phyllis happy. And nobody wants that.

End Of The Road For Adam

On the other hand, it could keep Adam out of the Newman Enterprises’ CEO chair for good. And that would make Victoria (Amelia Heinle) happy. Also Victor. And Victor’s happiness is of primary importance.

It might also tarnish Chance’s halo a bit – while giving him an actual story. All he’s done of late is have sex with Abby. Fans have no idea why we should care about him. Which means we have no idea why we should care about them. This might, at least, give us a hint.

Out Of Sight
