Melissa Ordway
Melissa Ordway has gained many admirers among fans of The Young and the Restless courtesy of her heartfelt portrayal of her character, Abby Newman. And now, the actress is celebrating something wonderful!
It was Ordway’s birthday on Sunday and she celebrated back at her old alma mater at Georgia State University.
The actress debuted as Abigail “Abby” Newman in 2013, assuming the role from Emme Rylan (Lulu, General Hospital).
During Ordway’s tenure on Y&R, Abby’s been paired with Tyler Michaelson (Redaric Williams), Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan), the late Austin Travers (Matthew Atkinson), Zack Stinnett (Ryan Ashton), Scott Grainger (Daniel Hall), and, most recently, Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela).
Off-screen, Ordway’s happily wed to actor/musician Justin Gaston (ex-Ben, Days of Our Lives). The couple are proud parents to daughters Olivia, 2, and Sophie Jolie, 1.
The actress is distinct on YR in that her character is tied biologically to both the Abbott and Newman clans as her mom and dad are Ashley and Victor, making her a blood relative to numerous characters on the canvas!
A grand heroine in the great tradition of Y&R classic characters, Abby is getting ready for her next venture, opening a restaurant, and who knows which lucky man will fall into her orbit next? Fans can’t wait to see what’s next for the blonde beauty!
