There’s nothing more enthralling than a passionate daytime love story, and The Young and the Restless has had many of them over the years.
Top Romantic The Young and the Restless Pairings
Here’s a look back at the Top 10 of the show’s most unforgettable couples who proved that soulmates, romance, and undying love have always been alive and well in Genoa City.
1. Victor and Nikki
It was love… okay, maybe lust at first sight when Victor (Eric Braeden) first laid eyes on a stripper named Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). No one could have predicted that she’d end up being the woman who would claim his heart and hold onto it for nearly three decades. Their relationship is fiery, intense and, above all, never boring.
2. Chris and Snapper
Virtuous Chris (Trish Stuart) snagged playboy Snapper (William Gray Espy), despite refusing to sleep with him until their wedding night. She was a member of the prominent affluent Brooks family, while he hailed from the poor Foster clan. But their differences couldn’t keep them apart and only made their love stronger.
3. Nick and Sharon
They fell in love in high school, and although they’ve wed and divorced a few times, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) will always be YR’s rooting couple. They share years of history, two children, and of course, Sharon’s late daughter Cassie, proving that true love transcends a marriage certificate.
4. Neil and Drucilla
Although they originally teamed to break up Olivia and Nathan, it wasn’t long before Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Drucilla (Victoria Rowell) realized their most powerful attraction was to each other. Once they gave in, there was no turning back. The sexy twosome was a fan favorite for years.
5. Lauren and Michael
This daytime duo can boast something very few others can: they’ve been married for nearly 15 years. The key to Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) wedded bliss has been strong communication, constantly challenging each other, and keeping things spicy in the bedroom.
6. Cane and Lily
Cane (Daniel Goddard) was initially hesitant about getting involved with the much younger Lily (Christel Khalil), but the duo quickly realized age was just a number and their love was real. For years, their relationship seemed indestructible, overcoming Cane’s lies about his identity and Lily’s battle with ovarian cancer. Currently apart, they remain devoted parents to their twins.
7. Billy and Victoria
A trip to Jamaica, followed by too much booze and an impromptu wedding, kicked off Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) coupling. The Young and the Restless pair soon realized they were in love and, upon learning their original nuptials were illegal, tied the knot for real. Victor’s constant meddling and Billy’s daughter Delia’s death led the duo to divorce, but their pull toward each other has never waned.
8. Danny and Christine
Christine (Lauralee Bell) fell head over heels for budding rock star Danny (Michael Damian), and he was quickly smitten with the sweet young model. Their love story included many fun adventures, culminating with a lavish wedding in Hawaii and the promise of a happy future. Sadly, obsessive fan Phyllis’s lie that she’d slept with Danny and bore his child split up the couple, and they were never able to overcome it.
9. Devon and Hilary
Being married to his father, Neil, couldn’t stop Devon (Bryton James) from pursuing Hilary (Mishael Morgan). While their coupling created major strife and heartache for the Winters family, the pair simply couldn’t deny their feelings or strong connection Sadly, their story came to a tragic end when a pregnant Hilary died following a car crash in 2018, right after marrying Devon from her death bed.
10. Chelsea and Adam
Adam (Mark Grossman), the black sheep of the Newman clan, and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), a former con artist, were an unusual pairing from the get-go. Yet, they understood one another like no one else could, and it boded for an imperfectly perfect pairing. Since uniting, they’ve survived lies, schemes, and above all, Adam’s numerous “deaths.” The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
