Ashland Locke is quickly proving to be a shady player. His secrets are exploding and Y&R spoilers hint there are more on the way. It makes us wonder if one of those secrets has something to do with Victoria Newman’s portrait.

Okay, hear us out. While the portrait – especially painted by her favorite artist – seems like a great gift, what if it’s not? What if it’s just a cover story for a very dirty and devious move. What if that portrait is home to a teeny tiny spy cam that is capturing Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) every move.

Why would a man like Ashland (Richard Burgi) do such a thing? Strategy, my friends. It’s no secret many of the Genoa City players (and almost all the fans) think Ashland and Victoria are simply trying to play each other. If that’s true, then Ashland has every reason to bug Victoria’s work realm and listen in on every word she says.

If that’s the case, we have to wonder how he feels about how much Victoria defends him. She is constantly putting her family (and a few others – looking at you, Billy Abbott) in their place. Y&R spoilers show she is a woman in love who is planning a wedding to the man of her dreams.

Will Ashland use this deep love to his advantage? We can see that. In fact, we think Victoria’s feelings will drive Ashland to take more from her than he originally planned. If he has it his way, he will soon be the proud owner of Newman Enterprises.

Of course, as great as this twist could be, we’d like to see an even bigger twist happen. What if Victoria knows the portrait is rigged and is using it to her advantage? She makes darn sure all the camera catches is her loving, cherishing, and defending Ashland while it’s really nothing but a scheme. Two can play at this game and Victoria’s going to win.
